Malaga is the Andalusian city with the most "mini-apartments".

Finding a cheap rental apartment in Malaga is a chimera. The solution to this could be (perhaps) mini-apartments. Studios of less than 30 square meters, which due to their dimensions are adaptable to cheaper prices. However, the offer of these apartments is not very rich. In Malaga, only 1.4% of these apartments can be classified as mini-apartments, according to a recent report published by Idealista. Therefore, this is a high percentage if we take into account the total number of people living in Spain. If we analyze this data by region, there is no other capital in Andalusia that exceeds one percent of this type of capital.

Almeria and Seville, second in the region, concentrate 0.6% of the mini-apartments. The cities with the lowest proportion of apartments are Cordoba and Jaen with a share of 0.2 percent.

According to the national overview, the cities with the highest number of mini-flats are Madrid (1.6%), Segovia (1.6%), Ceuta (1.5%) and Malaga (1.4%), which would rank fourth. ranking where even some cities that do not appear do not register a mini-flat: Zamora, Teruel, Soria, Melilla, Logroño, Huesca, Guadalajara and Girona. 

Andalusia as a whole is below the national average: 0.6 percent compared to 0.8 percent for all regions. Madrid (1.4 percent) and Catalonia (1.2 percent) are the only places with more than one percent of mini-apartments in their regions. . Thus, it can be argued that the Costa del Sol stands out as the main center of mini-apartments in the southern part of the Iberian Peninsula.

What are the other apartments like? According to information from Idealista, it turns out that most of the apartments in Malaga are between 60 and 100 square meters, which is the real estate background of the group. Houses of 30 to 60 square meters and 100 to 150 square meters are divided between 24% and 21%.

So what about the larger apartments? The figures presented state that they do not dominate, although they are more than the aforementioned mini-apartments: just over 5% exceed 150 square meters.
